There could be a scenario where a Disney fan is not out yet and too afraid…. It feels like a lot of straight people designed these merch items and it would be cool to see a group of LGBTQIA+ designing cool and fun shirts. We had always had an “unofficial” gay days where we wear red shirts to the parks to identify ourselves as LGBTQIA+, but now Disney is making it official and it’s special for us gay Disney adults! It’s finally great to see Disney doing these collections outwardly since 2018. I am not super offended that they haven’t added gay into the title, because even if you put that I am sure one group within the gay community will be offended. People in the gay community automatically chime in their brains when we hear “rainbow” or “pride month” as being June and gay. Kermit the Frog is interesting on how that’s your first thought about the wording.
